The rules for using this Rice Purity Test site, written to be readable.
These terms describe the agreement between you and the Rice Purity Test team when you use this website. By visiting the site, taking the test, creating an account, or otherwise interacting with our services, you agree to what is written here. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
These terms apply to every visitor, every account holder, and every automated agent accessing this site. They also apply to every part of the service, including the test itself, the results pages, saved scores, the blog, and any tool or feature we may add in the future.
You may use the site for personal, non commercial purposes. You may share your own results, link to any public page, quote our public content with attribution, and take the test as many times as you like. You may not scrape the site at scale, attempt to reverse engineer private systems, disrupt the service for other users, or use the site to harm anyone.
You can use most of the site without an account. If you choose to create one, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and take responsibility for anything that happens on your account. You must be at least thirteen years old to create an account. If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, notify us right away so we can help you secure it.
When you send us a message through the contact form, submit a comment on a blog post, or otherwise share content with us, you keep ownership of that content. You grant us a limited licence to display, store, and moderate that content as part of running the site. You promise that the content you submit is yours to share and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
You may not use the site to harass or threaten another person, publish content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction, distribute malware, spam other visitors, or attempt to gain access to systems or data you are not authorised to access. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules, and to cooperate with law enforcement when we are legally required to do so.
The Rice Purity Test is a light, self reflective survey with a long cultural history. It is not a psychological assessment, a diagnostic tool, or medical advice. Scores have no formal meaning, and they are not evidence of anything about your character, morality, or health. Treat the result as entertainment and a conversation starter, not as a judgement of who you are.
We do our best to keep the content on this site accurate and up to date, but we make no warranty that everything you read is free of errors. Blog posts, historical explanations, and interpretations of scores are provided for general information only. If accuracy matters for something you are working on, verify what you read here with additional sources.
We try to keep the site online at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Occasional downtime for maintenance, upgrades, or issues at our infrastructure providers is a normal part of running a modern website. We are not liable for any loss caused by short periods of downtime.
The site may contain links to other websites we do not control. We include these links because we think they are useful, not because we endorse everything on them. Once you follow a link away from our site, you are subject to the terms and privacy practices of that other site.
All original content on this site, including the layout, the visual design, the written articles, the blog posts, the graphics, and the code that runs the site, is owned by the Rice Purity Test team or our licensors. You may not copy substantial portions of the site or republish our content without permission. Fair quotations with a link back to the source are welcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Rice Purity Test team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that arise from your use of the site. If we are ever found liable for something, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which for most users is zero.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may discontinue any feature of the service at any time. You can stop using the site at any time by closing your browser tab, and you can delete your account permanently from your profile page.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the site is operated. Where local consumer protection laws grant you rights that these terms cannot override, those local rights apply in addition to what is written here.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will do our best to notify active account holders. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
If any part of these terms is unclear, or if you have a question about how they apply to a specific situation, please reach out through the contact page. We will do our best to respond in plain language and help you understand your options.
